Privacy Policy

Relic ("we," "our," or "the app") is operated by Mehdi Namvar Motlagh. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Relic mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple, we may receive your name and email address (depending on your Apple ID settings). This information is stored securely in our authentication system.

Screenshot Data

When you choose to process a screenshot, we collect:

• A compressed copy of the screenshot image (used for AI analysis and thumbnail generation)
• AI-generated analysis including: category, summary, extracted text, topics, action type, and identified entities (people, places, products, URLs mentioned in the screenshot)
• Any notes or tags you manually add

Your original photos remain on your device and are never uploaded or modified.

Usage Data

We track the number of screenshots processed per month to manage free tier limits. We do not collect analytics, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or behavioral tracking data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core service: analyzing screenshots and organizing extracted knowledge
• To manage your account and subscription status
• To enforce free tier usage limits
• To generate and store thumbnails of processed screenshots

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Relic:

• Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions. Data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — Screenshot images are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Anthropic processes the image to generate categories, summaries, and extracted text. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user ID and purchase receipts. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign-In — Authentication only. We receive the information you choose to share during sign-in.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security enabled, meaning you can only access your own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Thumbnails are stored in secure cloud storage with signed, time-limited access URLs.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your processed screenshot data at any time from the Settings screen. You can also delete your entire account, which removes all associated data permanently.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — All your data is visible within the app
• Delete your data — Use "Clear All Data" in Settings to remove all screenshots, or "Delete Account" to remove everything including your account
• Portability — Contact us to request an export of your data

7. Children's Privacy

Relic is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the effective date above.
