Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Relic mobile application ("Relic," "the app," or "Service"), operated by Mehdi Namvar Motlagh ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Relic, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Relic is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze screenshots from your device, extract knowledge, and organize it into searchable categories. The app processes images you select and stores AI-generated summaries, categories, and metadata.

2. Account

You must sign in with Apple to use Relic. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Free and Pro Plans

Free Plan

The free plan allows you to process up to 30 screenshots per calendar month. All previously processed screenshots remain accessible regardless of your plan.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan removes the monthly processing limit. Pro is available as:

• Monthly — Auto-renewing monthly subscription
• Annual — Auto-renewing annual subscription (may include a free trial)
• Lifetime — One-time purchase for permanent access

Subscription Terms

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at time of purchase

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Circumvent usage limits or access controls
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal app usage

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of your screenshots and any data you provide to Relic. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your screenshots through our AI service solely to provide the app's functionality. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. AI-Generated Content

Relic uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude) to analyze screenshots and generate summaries, categories, and metadata. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated analysis. You should verify important information independently.

7. Privacy

Your use of Relic is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Intellectual Property

The Relic app, including its design, code, and branding, is our intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Relic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI analysis will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
